Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital - The 3rd "Walk for Vision"

Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital is one of the leading private hospitals in Hong Kong.  Apart from their motto “Quality in Service Excellence in Care”, the Hospital always encourages the staff to commit in community services and charities actively.

In echo to the above mission, the” Village Volunteers” was established in April 2009 with an aim to support and serve the disadvantaged in the community.  Under the support and advocacy of Prof William Wei, the honorary advisor of HKNVC cum Assistant Medical Superintendent of HKSH, the NVCHK became the beneficiary of this year.  The Fund will be used to support the “Breaking through the barriers and to regain a New Voice” program for helping those voiceless in China and to purchase speech device for the needy in HK.

The activity was held on March 20 at 8:00 am.  Dr. Joseph Chan and Prof William Wei were the officiating guests at that morning. Over 200 HKSH Staff and their family members participated in the walkathon, in which they walked from HKSH, via Sia Woo Road, Tai Hung Road, Wong Lai Chung Gap Road and Violet Hill.  The total route was 11 km.  Representatives of HKNVC also have taken part in the walkathon.  Besides, they conducted sharing and performed singing at the ceremony.

You can share our memorable moment from the attached pictures.

Lastly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Joseph, Prof William Wei, Ms. Agatha Hu and all the participants.
