To further equip the members with knowledge on the health care after the surgery, we have organized orientation programs for them and their relatives quarterly.

In addition, the members will face dramatic changes in the physical condition, financial situations and roles in the family. And some may even have great fear towards their illness or death. Because of this, we began to launch a psychosocial group for the new members every six months by means of art, music, sharing, meditation and mutual support to release their burdens and worries.

With the view to enhance the understanding of the general public towards laryngectomees and laryngeal cancer patients, we were featured by various media. Furthermore, the Club had participated actively in public education programs. We had joined the “Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony Cum Fun Day” of the Cancerlink and “Volunteer Award” held by the Community Rehabilitation Network. Through these educational programs, we could introduce the Club to others and to promote the concept of anti-cancer.

During this Period, we continued to participate in the program names “The Beautiful Life” which was launched by the Social Welfare Department. The aim of the program was to promote the concept of “Positive Thinking” to students in Sham Shui Po District.
