 Hospital Visit is a focus service of the Club. Our experienced and trained volunteers used to outreach the pre and postoperative patients in hospitals so as to ease their psychological anxiety and to provide advice on their rehabilitation.In the past two years, report of this program was as the followings: Hospitals that had been visited: Tung Wah Hospital, Yan Chai Hospital, Tuen Mun Hospital, Pamela Youde Eastern Nethersole Hospital, Kwong Wah Hospital, United Christian Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, St. Teresa’s Hospital and Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital.
Home visit is another main service of the Club. Target of the Home Visit Service: Members who are living alone or receiving CSSA or living in the elderly home
 To express our care to the members, our staff and volunteers make a call to all members monthly. Besides, our volunteers on-duty in center daily to provide counseling by mean of face-to-face talk.
 In regard to the special financial need of deprived members, the Club launched a “Breaking through the barriers and to regain a New Voice “program to subvent the selected members to purchase speech devices. The “Village Volunteers” of Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital supported this scheme in 2011 and the project ended on March 2016. On the other hand, our Club has formed “The New Voice Club of Hong Kong Hardship Fund” for our members to apply in case of emergency need. |
